JOY: A New True Musical Announces $19.95 Rush Ticket Policy for NYC Audiences

Now in Previews Off-Broadway at the Laura Pels Theatre, starring Betsy Wolfe as “Joy Mangano”

New York, NY (June 23, 2025) – Producers of JOY: A New True Musical have announced the show’s official general rush ticket policy, offering theatergoers an affordable way to experience this inspiring new Off-Broadway musical in New York City.

Currently in preview performances at the Laura Pels Theatre (111 West 46th Street), JOY stars Tony Award® nominee Betsy Wolfe as inventor and entrepreneur Joy Mangano. The production officially opens Sunday, July 20 at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

How to Get Rush Tickets for JOY: A New True Musical

Starting today, a limited number of $19.95 rush tickets will be available in-person at the box office two hours before each performance. The first 19 people in line may purchase up to two tickets per person, subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply. The box office opens daily at 12 PM.

About the Cast and Creative Team

Based on the true story of Joy Mangano, a self-made businesswoman best known for the Miracle Mop, JOY: A New True Musical brings her journey of resilience, innovation, and triumph to the stage.

Betsy Wolfe leads the cast as Joy, alongside Jill Abramovitz as Toots, Honor Blue Savage as Christie, Adam Grupper as Rudy, Brandon Espinoza as Tony, Paul Whitty as Cowboy Eddie, Charl Brown as Dan, and Gabriela Carrillo as Ronni.

Joining them are Jaygee Macapugay as Lorraine, with ensemble members Dana Costello, Ryan Duncan, Gaelen Gilliland, Sydni Moon, Manuel Santos, Brian Shepard, Allysa Shorte, and Alan Wiggins. Rounding out the company are Briana Brooks, Nora Mae Dixon, Michał Kołaczkowski, Lael Van Keuren, and Jerome Vivona.
