Entrepreneur of the Day: Michaela Vivona

Today’s Entrepreneur of the Day is Michaela Vivona! Michaela founded A Dream is A Wish Parties and Your Business Big Sis

If you’ve ever witnessed a child’s eyes light up when they see their favorite princess walk into the room, there’s a good chance Michaela Vivona had something to do with it. As the founder of A Dream Is A Wish Parties, a high-quality children’s entertainment company based on Long Island, Michaela has been making magic for over a decade — and she’s just getting started.

At just 16 years old, Michaela Vivona transformed her childhood love for princesses and play into a thriving business. What began as a local venture quickly grew into a full-fledged entertainment company bringing storybook characters to life across Long Island and the surrounding areas. Today, A Dream Is A Wish Parties visits over 40 birthday parties a month and hosts large-scale, sold-out ticketed events at some of Long Island’s most prestigious venues, including the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy, The Mansion at Glen Cove, and The Inn at New Hyde Park.

They’ve even expanded into their own venue: Everland, located in Mineola, where the magic never stops.

While most college students juggle classes and part-time jobs, Michaela ran a growing business while studying full-time at Syracuse University, where she earned her BFA in Musical Theater. But it wasn’t just her performance training that fueled her success, she also dove headfirst into business courses, falling in love with entrepreneurship along the way.

Even though she was over 5 hours away, she kept her company running. That time really taught Michaela how to trust others, delegate, and build strong systems, lessons that helped take her business to the next level.

By her senior year, she had launched her company’s first large-scale, ticketed event, and sold it out.

Michaela graduated in 2020, just as the pandemic shuttered the performing arts world. But instead of waiting for the stage to reopen, she pivoted and went full-time in her business. That year, A Dream Is A Wish Parties tripled its revenue, client base, and social media following.

It wasn’t just about growth; it was about impact. Michaela realized that her purpose extended beyond children’s entertainment; she had a passion for helping other women build their dream businesses, too.

Inspired by her own journey, Michaela launched Your Business Big Sis, a business coaching brand dedicated to helping women turn their passions into thriving, profitable companies. What started with supporting a few friends has now grown into a global coaching platform. Michaela has since coached hundreds of CEOs around the world, hosted two sold-out Royal Retreats, and launched multiple successful programs like the CEO Sisterhood.

Believing that every woman has a little bit of magic in her, Michaela’s mission is to help women find it, believe in it, and turn it into something real. Her coaching community is now a place where ambitious women find strategy, sisterhood, and support, and Michaela is the heart behind it all.

At the core of everything Michaela does is a mission to inspire and empower every girl and woman she meets. Whether it’s a child playing dress-up at Everland or an entrepreneur launching her first course, Michaela wants them to know that magic isn’t something you find, it’s something you create.

A Dream Is A Wish Parties’ performers aren’t just wearing costumes, Michaela chooses authentic, talented, and caring individuals who show kids that being a Princess is about kindness, courage, and confidence, not just sparkles and gowns

From the moment a party begins, A Dream Is A Wish Parties takes care of everything: music, games, setup, cleanup, and entertainment; so families can simply sit back and enjoy the magic.

When asked if she had any advice for women who want to start their own business, Michaela said, “Write down your dreams and then just do it. Just take the next step. You don’t need to have all of the answers, you don’t need a degree (or even a business coach) to just get started. And there is so much support for you out there! Just keep going!”

From running around in a princess dress at age eight to running two successful businesses before 30, Michaela Vivona is living proof that “Little girls with dreams become women with vision.”

She didn’t just build a business; she built a movement. One that empowers little kids to believe in themselves and women to chase dreams that once felt out of reach.
